Order diaper bag tags
- The diaper bag tag program is intended for households with young children using diapers.
- A household can apply to receive up to 40 diaper bag tags per a 12 month period, free of charge.
- Diapers must be placed in clear garbage bags with the diaper bag tag clearly visible. Solid coloured bags (even with a diaper bag tag) will not be collected.
- Diaper bags are collected every other week with your garbage.
Order healthcare bag tags
- The healthcare bag tag program is intended for households with a person(s) experiencing a medical condition.
- A household can apply to receive up to 40 healthcare bag tags, free of charge.
- Medical items (e.g., diapers) can be placed in black garbage bags with the healthcare bag tag clearly visible.
- Healthcare bags are collected every other week with your garbage.
Halton residents can drop off clear diaper bags or black healthcare bags, with bag tags attached at the following locations :

Monday – Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Leferink Transfer Station, 57 Armstrong Avenue, Georgetown view map (external link)
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday: 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Norjohn Transfer Station, 5030 Mainway Road, Burlington view map (external link)
Saturdays only: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Please inform staff that you are participating in the diaper or healthcare bag tag program upon arrival.

Service Promise: after you have submitted this form, you will receive a service request number and receipt via email and a link to our online status tool. The link will allow you to track the progress of your request. You should receive your garbage bag tags within 10 business days. You will not be contacted directly by Halton Regional staff about this request.
